Our save the dates ....

Willie and I wanted to do something fun and different for our save the dates. We wanted our save the dates to show our unique personalities. We were on a tight budget so hiring a professional photographer was out of the question. So we decided to be adventurous and do it ourselves. On  our farm there is an old burnt down house and we decided to use it as the studio for our photo shoot.
We spent the morning taking photo's, being silly, and having lots of fun....

 

 

Maid of Honor and Best "man"

Willie and I thought a lot about who is going to be his best man and my maid of Honor and if we should even have one. We then realised that the choice was not a difficult one at all, just an obvious one. The two people who have stood by us our entire lives, the good and bad times, who loves us unconditionally, our sisters. My sister will be my maid of Honor and Willie's sister will be his best (wo)man. We cant imagine any one else standing next to us in front of God and our family on the biggest day of our lives.

The perfect wedding

We went to have a look at a few wedding venues before deciding on Bundu Lodge surrounded by nature located between Nelspruit and White River.

Bundu has 2 wedding chapels, a bush chapel called "The Wedding Rocks", a natural chapel that was discovered by the owner. The natural features have been integrated to form a charming wedding chapel in the middle of the bush. The engagement -10/11/12

We met in the romantic little town of Kaapsehoop. I never would have imagine on that cold misty day that i have found the love of my life. We have been together for 6 years when Willie told me that we are visiting The elephant sanctuary in Hazyview. I never suspected that he was going to propose on 10/11/12. We had breakfast at Wimpy in Hazyview before going to the elephant sanctuary. Willie was so anxious he had a 4 course meal, poor guy. Off course i had no idea.....
The day was great and a tour guide taught us everything about elephants. We had the opportunity to touch the elephants and feed them. Before we left, the elephant came up behind me and put a little guitar box with the ring inside in my hand and then Willie proposed. How could I not say yes, beside the fact that I lov Willie more than anything in the world, he got the largest land animal to hand me my ring....
